The concert opens with Ralph Vaughan Williams’s beloved ‘Fantasia on a Theme’ by Thomas Tallis, transforming a Tudor hymn into a soaring masterpiece for strings. Mozart’s sublime Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat major features distinguished French violinist Nicolas Dautricourt alongside violist Loan Cazal, whose career has included principal positions with several renowned European orchestras.
