<strong>Nrutyamaya Jag… Nartanaacha Dharma</strong> <strong>An Abhivaachan from the writings of Shama Bhate</strong> <strong>An NCPA Library Presentation</strong> Few artistes have reflected as deeply on the many dimensions of a life in dance as <strong>Shama Bhate</strong>. In her Marathi book <em>Nrutyamaya Jag… Nartanaacha Dharma</em>, she brings together memories, experiences and reflections from a life shaped by dance, revealing the artiste, teacher, choreographer and seeker behind the work. This <em>abhivaachan </em>presents a selection of excerpts from the book, chosen and sequenced by <strong>Vandana Bokil</strong>, its editor, to create a cohesive, almost chronological journey through Bhate’s life and relationship with dance. <strong>Bokil and Gauri Lagoo</strong> will give voice to these passages, allowing the thoughts and questions within the book to unfold.
