Comic Con Africa 2026

Calling all heroes, gamers, collectors, anime fans, and committed cosplayers: Comic Con Africa, with Capitec, returns to the Johannesburg Expo Centre for its seventh edition from 24–27 September 2026.More than 70,000 fans are expected across four action-packed days celebrating comics, gaming, anime, film, television, art, technology, tabletop games, and pop culture. Visitors can enter daily cosplay competitions, watch the Cosplay Championships, explore free-to-play gaming zones, attend esports tournaments, and browse Artist Alley, featuring more than 200 local and international artists, crafters, and comic creators.Anime fans can head to Otaku Town for merchandise, Japanese food, collectibles, and activities inspired by popular franchises including One Piece, Naruto, Demon Slayer, Bleach, and Pokémon. Tabletop players can join games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Catan, while younger visitors can explore the 1,200-square-metre KidsCon Zone.The guest programme includes Christopher Judge and stars associated with Rick and Morty, X-Men, The Rookie, and Netflix’s One Piece.
