Dance in Dialogue: Cultural Legacy brings together artists, educators, scholars, and culture bearers for an intergenerational conversation exploring Hip-Hop through lived experience, movement, education, identity, and community. Centering the work and journey of legendary Hip-Hop artist Ana “Rokafella” Garcia, the conversation considers how cultural knowledge is created, shared, protected, and passed from one generation to the next. Together, the panelists will reflect on the histories and communities that shaped Hip-Hop, the people whose stories must continue to be told, and the responsibility we carry when teaching, practicing, and evolving these forms today. Cultural Legacy invites us to look back while also asking what we are building, preserving, and leaving for those who come next.
