A Build Day with Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity is a hands-on volunteer opportunity where individuals, businesses, community organizations, and other groups come together to help build Habitat Homes at Hope Springs.
No construction experience is necessary. Habitat’s construction team provides the tools, safety equipment, training, and guidance volunteers need throughout the day. Depending on where homes are in the construction process, volunteers may help with projects such as framing, siding, painting, installing windows, caulking, landscaping, or other construction-related tasks.
Build Days are about more than construction. They are an opportunity to work alongside others, learn new skills, and help build a growing neighborhood where local families are working toward affordable homeownership.
Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early. Once you sign up, Habitat for Humanity will provide directions and arrival information before the Build Day.
Volunteers should wear clothes they do not mind getting dirty, long pants, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Dressing in layers and bringing sunscreen and a reusable water bottle are also recommended.
