6th Annual Latinx Heritage Month Celebration and Awards

The UC San Diego 6th Annual Latinx Heritage Month Celebration will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026. This year’s national theme, “Unidos Somos Más (Together, We Are More),” celebrates the diversity, strength and unity of the Latinx community. Visit the Latinx Heritage Month website to view the full calendar of events, featuring activities on campus and throughout the San Diego region.

We are pleased to welcome Diana Cervera ‘16 back to UC San Diego as our keynote speaker. Cervera is a transborder Chicanx artist, filmmaker, educator and cultural worker based in Tijuana and San Diego. Her work, including the recent documentary “Mujer Mariposa,” explores home, belonging and migrant justice, and she also serves as a teaching artist with migrant and refugee communities.
