STUDIO PROJECT: Lysistrata

In Aristophanes’ outrageous comedy Lysistrata, the women of Greece have had enough of an endless war and devise a provocative solution: withhold sex until the fighting stops. Reimagined in a contemporary, sun-soaked world of temptation, flirtation, rivalry, and very public romantic games, this Studio Project turns an ancient battle of the sexes into a hilarious clash of desire, politics, and power, asking just how far people will go to force change when those in charge refuse to listen.

The Studio Project offers audiences an intimate evening of experimental performance and emerging artistic voices. Designed to encourage collaboration and creative risk-taking, this production showcases innovative theatre where bold ideas become compelling performances.
