Election Expo and Student Charrette

The League of Women Voters is hosting an Election Expo! This event is designed for students, seniors, and voters of all ages who want to become informed in advance of voting. Join us for this fun, nonpartisan, civic engagement event. As part of the Expo, Waubonsee students are invited to participate in an approximately 1.5-hour Student Charrette. What is a Charrette? A charrette is a collaborative, small-group brainstorming session. Students will work together to explore a community topic from different perspectives, share ideas, and develop possible solutions and recommendations. ➡️ Complete the Student Interest Form Students from all programs, backgrounds, and levels of experience are welcome. In fact, having a variety of perspectives is an important part of the conversation. And Yes...There's Food & Fun! Students participating in the charrette will have dinner provided. The Election Expo will also feature an ice cream truck and a visit from Anderson Humane Society.
