University of Rochester Genealogy: Census, Land, and Probate Records

Take a deeper look at three valuable record groups for tracing individuals and families across generations: census, land, and probate records. Participants will explore what these records can reveal about family relationships, residences, property, and life events while learning strategies for tracking families over time. The session will also introduce full-text search tools that can help uncover people and information hidden within historical records.
