A film screening and pizza party hosted by the Art Gallery at Eastern Connecticut State University.
Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer follows the arrest and trial of the Russian feminist punk collective Pussy Riot after their controversial performance inside Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Blending courtroom footage, intimate interviews, and archival material, the film explores the clash between art, politics, and power in Putin’s Russia.
This event is in support of Fall of Freedom, an open instigation to artists, venues and institutions across all disciplines to put your work in the world on October 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, countering fascist repression and censorship with joyful communities of defiant creativity. Art matters. Courage is contagious. Take part!
