"Pope Leo against Christian Nationalism" Lunchtime Lecture with Cyril O'Regan

Please join us for "Pope Leo against Christian Nationalism," a lunchtime lecture by Cyril O'Regan, Catherine F. Huisking Professor Emeritus of Theology at the University of Notre Dame. Lunch provided, RSVP required. Professor O'Regan, a native of Ireland, received his Ph.D. in theology from Yale, where he also taught in the Department of Religious Studies before joining the faculty at the University of Notre Dame in 1999. Professor O'Regan has authored many books on19th-century theology and philosophy, postmodern thought, mysticism, apocalyptic, Gnosticism, religion and literature, major Catholic figures such as Newman, de Lubac, Hans Urs von Balthasar, and Benedict XVI, and on the doctrines of the Trinity and "last things," including the Heterodox Hegel and Gnostic Return in Modernity, and is currently finishing a project on Heidegger and von Balthasar.
