Join the Rainer Schulte Center for Translation Studies for a bilingual reading and conversation with Gabi Martínez, an award-winning nature writer and journalist from Spain, and Ezra E. Fitz, a bestselling translator.
They will present a bilingual reading from The Last House Before the Sea: One Year on the Ebro Delta, followed by a conversation on writing, translation, and environmental change. This evocative chronicle of a vanishing coastal island explores the rhythms of delta life and the costs of an unraveling ecosystem.
Note: Light refreshments will be provided.
The Last House Before the Sea is also available for purchase from the UT Dallas Bookstore.
This event is free, but please RSVP online here. We will email parking details to registered guests.
