FIUCIVICS: Contact Your Rep

Contacting Your Representative – The Maurice A. Ferré Institute for Civic Leadership hosts a Contacting Your Representative workshop as part of its FIUCivics educational series. Students may earn credit for their participation.

In this session, students will connect with City of Miami District 5 Commissioner Christine King to learn about the role of elected officials, effective strategies for communicating with government representatives, and opportunities for civic engagement within the community. Participants will gain insights into public service, constituent advocacy, and how residents can engage with local government to help address community issues and influence public decision-making.
