Art for All Family Day, Fall 2026

Join us for fun and free drop-in art-making and live musical performances outdoors between the Cantor Arts Center and Anderson Collection. ART for ALL Family Day is a celebration for all families and ages. Engage with art at the Stanford museums through free hands-on art activities and live music outside on the lawn plus story time and a scavenger hunt in the galleries! Our upcoming activities are inspired by the Cantor’s featured exhibitions, Solid Picture and Carolyn Lazard: Long Take, and photography of Irene Poon as well as works in the Anderson Collection including Patty Chang: Surfacing and Nick Cave's Soundsuits. Art Activities at the Cantor Arts Center Neighborhood Photo Sculptures / Clay Portrait Puppets / Tactile Watercolor Paintings Art Activities at the Anderson Collection Gyotaku Printing / Soundsuit Bag Charms Story Time & Scavenger Hunt Join us in the galleries for family-friendly stories and an interactive scavenger hunt! Live Performance Enjoy lively performances on the outdoor stage! Calming Space Need a quiet moment? Our Calming Space offers a soft, low-sensory environment with comfortable seating, books, and sensory tools to help children and families relax and recharge at their own pace. Sessions Morning: 10AM - 12PM | Afternoon: 1PM - 3PM Space is limited. Please register for one session only. Pet Policy: For the safety and comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted at this event. Art for All Family Day is made possible through the generous support of the Hohbach Family Fund. -- Check-in (Welcome Tent) The check-in table is located along Lomita Dr. beside the walkway leading to the Anderson Collection. A rainbow-colored balloon arch will be visible behind the check-in table. Please bring your Eventbrite confirmation directly to the check-in table to receive your event sticker. Stroller parking is available nearby. Directions Cantor Arts Center is located at 328 Lomita Drive on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, California. Searchable Campus Map Parking Free visitor parking is available along Lomita Drive as well as on the first floor of the Roth Way Garage Structure, located at the corner of Campus Drive West and Roth Way at 345 Campus Drive, Stanford, CA 94305. From the Palo Alto Caltrain station, the Cantor Arts Center is about a 20-minute walk. Disability parking is located along Lomita Drive near the main entrance of the Cantor Arts Center.
