Featured Panelists:
Leslie Osborne | Co-Founder of Bay FC, Broadcaster, & Entrepreneur
A San Jose Sports Hall of Fame inductee and 10-year professional soccer veteran, Leslie spent six years anchoring the U.S. Women’s National Team, including winning a bronze medal at the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Renowned for her leadership, she captained every professional club team she played for (FC Gold Pride, Boston Breakers, Chicago Red Stars). Leslie will share her journey navigating the transition from world-class athletics to sports business infrastructure as a Co-Founder of Bay FC and the San Francisco Signal volleyball team, an angel investor, a FOX Sports analyst, and a mom.
Andrea Lacy | Author, Founder, CEO, & Philanthropist
Marking a monumental 30 years in business, proud SJSU alumna Andrea Lacy ('93) returns to the campus where her national brand was born in the 1980s. While balancing multiple jobs as a student, Andrea accidentally transposed numbers in a recipe due to undiagnosed dyslexia—baking a dense batch of treats that unexpectedly became the award-winning Original Heart-Shaped Brownie®. Andrea will discuss her inspiring personal arc, navigating academic frameworks with dyslexia, transitioning from an extensive career in high tech to full-time entrepreneurship, and dedicating her platform to philanthropy and educational advocacy.
