North Carolina and American Independence

Join the University Library and the Department of History for a special exhibition viewing and public talk commemorating America's 250th anniversary. Katheen DuVal, Carl W. Ernst Distinguished Professor of History at UNC-Chapel Hill and recipient of a 2025 Pulitzer Prize for Native Nations: A Millennium in North America, will share insights into American history. The evening will include viewing of the Wilson Library exhibition "Witnesses to the Revolution: North Carolina and the War for Independence,” produced in partnership with the North Carolina Museum of History.

A book signing will follow the talk; copies of Native Nations will be available for purchase.
