Contemplative Choir: Let Go

Contemplative Choir: Let Go with Ash Hemmeyer

Fall is a transitional season, from the warmth and light of summer to the slow dark stillness of winter. In letting go and leaning into change we can find abundance. As the landscape and weather shift with the seasons, we are reminded of change in our own lives, and how hard it can be to let go of a grasp for control and certainty. Join us in celebration of fall as we gather and sing together about growth, joy, and change. We'll start with intentional centering, gentle, seated yoga stretches, and vocal and breathing exercises. In this special edition of Contemplative Choir, we'll warm up the vocal cords with Loosen by Ally Halpert, followed by Leaves that are Green by Simon and Garfunkel, and finish with a two-part harmony, Autumn, by Ola Gjelio. All levels of choral experience are welcome and no preparation is needed. Sheet music provided, and we'll be accompanied by Ava on the piano.
