Orchestrating Change tells the inspiring story of the only orchestra in the world created by and for people living with mental illness. The mission of Me2/ Orchestra is to erase mental health stigma one concert at a time. It is truly changing the lives of these musicians by providing community, an artistic outlet, and acceptance. Most important, the orchestra shows the power of music to promote well-being. Seen across the United States on public television stations, the film is a winner of the Austen Riggs Erikson Prize for Excellence in Mental Health Media. The American Library Association & Media Round Table voted it “One of the Top Twelve Notable Films for Adults.”
Film screening: 7:00–8:30 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm), followed by a panel conversation from 8:30 to 9:00 pm, featuring local experts in the fields of music, mental health and medicine.
