SIAM Meeting

We are so happy to welcome Dr. Mayowa Awe back to UTA! Dr. Awe graduated from UTA in 2015 with her B.A. in Mathematics and again in 2019 with her Ph.D. in Mathematics. After a couple of years as a senior data analyst at Lockheed Martin, she now serves as the executive director at the National Science and Technology Medals Foundation (NSTMF) where she is committed to supporting inclusivity, innovation, advocacy, and education in STEM communities. Dr. Awe is highly accomplished. She has won the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP), Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Bridge to Doctorate, and Texas TRIO Achiever awards, among others. We are very excited to hear about her journey and her advice for students.
