Our panel draws connections across several organizations to showcase diverse careers that center community support.
With one of our panelists working with a food pantry, another conducting a needs assessment for a domestic violence prevention service, and a third at a university's LGBTQ+ resource center, our panel spent the summer providing community resources in various ways, serving diverse populations. From nonprofits to government work, the impact of the current political climate on our work this summer was felt. At an environmental justice organization, one panelist learned about revolutionary movements and political circumstances, while another worked with immigration cases in the U.S. Attorney's Office. Our panel will explore society's perceptions of social justice and how we witnessed it play out in our respective internships. We will also explore the fostering of community support and resource development at a variety of scales.
