2026 GLI Pregame Social in Grand Rapids, MI

Join Michigan Tech alumni, friends, and fans for an exciting pregame social before the Huskies take on the Western Michigan Broncos at 3:30 p.m. in the first game of the 60th Annual Great Lakes Invitational! The pregame social will be held on Tuesday, December 29 from 1-3 p.m. at Peppino's Downtown Sports Grille, just a short walk from Van Andel Arena. Food and drinks will be available for individual purchase.

Please note, seating at the pregame social is first come, first served based on table availability. There may be a wait time for a table. There is no fee to attend and advanced registration is not required.

Pregame Social Event Information

Time: 1-3 p.m.
Location: Peppino’s Downtown Sports Grille, located at 130 Ionia Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
Parking: Cherry Commerce Ramp is located directly next to Peppino's at 141 Commerce Ave. SW Grand Rapids, MI 49503 and only a short walk to Van Andel Arena. There are also street parking options in Grand Rapids available here.

Game Ticket Information

Hockey game tickets for the 60th Annual GLI are available and are purchased separately through Ticketmaster for December 29 and December 30 or in person at the DeVos Place Grand Gallery box office Monday–Friday. Ticket pricing is based on a per-day basis and tickets will be distributed on a mobile device. Michigan Tech's alumni section is 124. Additional Information

Open Skate at Rosa Parks Circle: Alumni and friends are welcome to attend an open public skate on Wednesday, December 30, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Additional information, including cost of admission, can be found here.

Hotel: Michigan Tech’s host hotel is the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown. MTU alumni, friends and family are encouraged to book at their host hotel. The host hotel does not gurantee rooms or room blocks. All lodging accomodations must be booked separately.
