Interactive Read-Alouds and Readers Theater are proven practices for developing literacy throughout the grade levels. In this session, we will explore the research supporting IRA and RT, resources to find engaging read-alouds and RT scripts, and how to create engaging IRA and RT activities.

Janine Bixler is a Professor of Education and Co-Chair of the Division of Education at Mount Saint Mary College.
She holds a PhD from Georgia State University, as well as an MS from SUNY Oswego.

Rebecca Norman is a Professor of Education and the Graduate Program Coordinator at Mount Saint Mary College. She holds a PhD from Michigan State University, as well as an MA from The Ohio State University.
