Join Us! 2026 FIU Festival of The Trees

Celebrating 38 years, the Festival of Trees is an annual fundraising event for FIU’s Interior Architecture students and programs. Each year, Festival of the Trees sponsors underwrite designers who design and build their unique holiday creations and donate the art pieces to the fundraising event. The “trees” are set on display at the gala opening and at the end of the evening the attendees are provided with the opportunity to make a donation to obtain and claim a beautiful holiday tree with them.

The theme for this year’s festival is Chroma in Motion. At this year’s Festival of the Trees, designers are invited to explore the spectrum of chroma as a catalyst for design. Through thoughtful shifts, gradations, and transitions of color, designers can shape the emotional experience of the viewer and transform the mood of the environment.

Designers are challenged to explore the physical processes of light refraction, dispersion, and spectral separation as forces that flow, fracture, radiate, and echo. Designers are encouraged to interpret these processes through various mediums, forms, compositions and patterns.

For members of the FIU Community, tickets are ONLY $60! This includes current students, faculty, and staff. These are limited to (2) per FIU member and must be purchased with proof of Panther ID at Zinaida's office: PCA 277B, on the MMC, M-F from 9am to 4:30pm.
