UAB Diabetes Research Day will bring together experts from across the UAB Comprehensive Diabetes Center (UCDC), UAB community, and Alabama to learn about the latest cutting-edge diabetes and metabolic disease research. Faculty, trainees, and students are invited to attend this lively day of learning and networking featuring keynote speakers Ralph A. DeFronzo, M.D., and Matt Might, Ph.D., oral presentations, and a research poster session. Registration is free but required. Lunch will be provided.

The UCDC is accepting faculty and trainee abstract submissions for consideration as oral or poster presentations for Diabetes Research Day. Abstract submissions are due by 5 p.m., Sept. 30, 2026.
