Bridging Gaps in Access: Nonconventional Modalities of Connection and Care

Serving and advocating for typically underserved communities can look vastly different across contexts.
This panel seeks to tease out some of that nuance; through work in pro bono legal services, creative arts therapy, a mental health hotline, and harm reduction, we all worked to serve individuals left out of more standard modalities of assistance and care. While our experiences were unique, we each share a passion for helping our communities and bridging long-existing gaps in service across disciplines. Attendees will have the chance to learn about how more unconventional practices can further inclusive and accessible care, increasing individual and collective well-being.
