Blue Hen Ready: What Comes After College?
Downloads an .ics file · Times are in America/New_York · Google Calendar
In this session, Marisa Trezza, Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase, will show you what really takes place in the year after you graduate and how you can prepare for it. Marisa will provide a realistic month-by-month plan to prepare for the job search, the positive and negative experiences of your first year at a new job, and advice on how to maintain (and develop) friendships after the college environment is no longer there. The talk will feature an open discussion, so please bring your questions!
You will walk away from this presentation having learned:
How to job hunt strategically and actually use your network.
What the first year after graduation actually looks and feels like.
The unglamorous adulting basics no one explains: health insurance, PTO, and setting boundaries at work.
How to keep old friendships alive and build new ones as an adult.
What skills will help you the most in any workplace, and how to showcase them.
Why hobbies unrelated to your career matter.
A realistic timeline for thinking about your next move, grad school, or a career pivot.
Senior students and young alumni (Class of 2022-2026) are encouraged to attend this free event sponsored by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
