A monthly drop-in for students who struggle with focus, motivation, getting started, or following through. Learn practical strategies for lectures, studying, everyday tasks, and academic responsibilities while connecting with other students who experience similar challenges. Open to students with ADHD as well as those who simply recognize ADHD-like difficulties with attention, motivation, or executive functioning.
To join, simply arrive to SSB 4.600 a few minutes before the start time. If you’d like reminders and an easier check-in, you can also message us at [email protected] to be added to the roster.
These groups provide an opportunity for support from others who hold similar identities or life experiences. Participation is open and drop-in style, meaning members do not have to be current clients of the Student Counseling Center, and you may attend meetings as often or as seldom as you like. Support groups are open to all UTD students, and no group screening is required. Please note support groups are not the same as therapy groups in that they are more focused on building community and peer support guided by one of our therapists than in-depth therapeutic intervention.
