About Michael Lutter:

Dr. Lutter is a psychiatrist and physician-scientist whose work focuses on the biological and genetic basis of eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. He completed his combined medical and doctoral training through UT Southwestern’s Medical Scientist Training Program in 2003, followed by psychiatry residency at UT Southwestern. He subsequently joined the faculty, where his research examined the effects of the appetite-regulating hormone ghrelin on mood and feeding in response to stress.
