The African American Cultural Center and our campus partners invite the university community and the public to our annual Symposium on Afrofuturism and Diasporic Scholarship. Our focus this year connects to our 55th anniversary and the theme of Legacy, Libations and Liberation.

The symposium will feature African diasporic learning, scholarship and epistemologies via cutting-edge research, storytelling, creative works, discussion circles, community-based projects and industry initiatives from the NC State and the surrounding community. The symposium will include oral presentations, roundtables, poster presentations, creative practices, keynote speakers, panels and networking opportunities.

We welcome submissions to present at the conference from students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members and surrounding university and college partners. For a full description of the symposium, including information on submitting a proposal, visit our website.
