The 2027 URI Master Gardener Core Training prepares participants to serve as grassroots educators, sharing research-based gardening information with communities throughout Rhode Island. Graduates become URI Master Gardener volunteers and apply their knowledge through service projects that strengthen local food systems, help residents grow their own food, and support hunger relief efforts. Volunteers also continue learning through unique classes and field experiences, with both in-person and virtual service opportunities available.
