Though Gen X grew up on laser rock shows at planetariums—Laser Floyd, Laser Zeppelin—its bands never achieved the kind of popularity that warrants the planetarium treatment. Join us as we right that historic wrong with what is almost certainly the world’s first Gen-X laser rock show, featuring the music of iconic ‘90s lo-fi artists. After the evening shows, special guest Jon Dolan (Rolling Stone editor, Colgate '96) will discuss both the ideals and the folly behind the Gen-X aesthetic and anti-corporate ethos of '90s indie rock.
