Artificial Inspiration: Creative and Collaborative Writing with LLMs

What if your next creative writing partner lived inside your browser? Discover how local writers use large language models not to write for them, but to inspire breakthrough storytelling. Join us for a practitioner’s panel and hands-on workshop exploring how these AI platforms can help spark ideas, build worlds, and draft creative work.

The first part of the session features a discussion facilitated by OHIO Chillicothe Writing Center Director, Deb Nickles, with OHIO Chillicothe Library Manager Brandi Weaver, and AI Business Strategist Michael McAteer. These experienced users will offer practical advice for using AI LLM platforms to inspire, create, and sustain personal fiction and novel-length writing projects. Following the discussion, participate in a 40-minute interactive workshop where you will learn to craft dynamic prompts for:
Collaborative world-building and character development
Extending metaphors and tracking complex plotlines
Building personal story bibles

Whether you are looking to overcome writer's block or experiment with new drafting techniques, this workshop offers actionable tools to enhance your creative workflow.
