Uncle Vanya

UNCLE VANYA is a tragicomic play by Anton Chekhov written in 1896. It follows the lives of one dysfunctional family living on their rural estate in the Russian countryside. The estate is managed by the middle-aged Vanya and his young niece Sonya. When the estate’s owners, an aging professor and his much younger wife, visit for the summer, the household descends into chaos over unrequited love, failed dreams, and unsaid feelings. The play explores hope and love in the face of the unrelenting passage of time.
