Christopher Confessore leads the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in its annual Viennese New Year’s Concert — a beloved tradition that fills Jemison Hall with the effervescent spirit of Old World Europe on the last night of the year. The program features the graceful waltzes of Johann Strauss Jr., the rousing polkas of his family, and other favorites that capture the romance and elegance of 19th-century Vienna. Raise a glass, feel the sweep of the waltz, and welcome the new year with the Alabama Symphony.
