The Department of Sociology and Anthropology Speaker Series

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology will welcome Taylor Hargrove to NC State for its 2026-27 speaker series. Hargrove is an associate professor of sociology at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her talk is titled "Getting Under the Skin: An Investigation of Adolescent Educational Context and Aging Among Early Midlife Adults." Hargrove will discuss her current project in which she examines racial health disparities through educational pathways in adolescence — an understudied pathway linking structural factors to racialized disparities in aging.
