Even the Rain (También la lluvia)

This thought-provoking film asks viewers to consider how the past continues to shape the present. While a film crew in Bolivia sets out to tell the story of Christopher Columbus, they become entangled in real-life protests over access to water, revealing striking parallels between historical and modern forms of exploitation. Rich in historical and social themes, Even the Rain is an excellent choice for students of Spanish, History, Anthropology, Sociology, and Political Science. This film is part of our Cine Latino series made possible by Pragda. All film screenings are free in E109. The 3:00 PM screening is sensory-friendly, with dim (not dark) lighting, reduced volume, and open captions. The 6:00 PM screening offers a full cinema experience, including free popcorn.
