Build Your Community. Advance Your Career. Connect to Cancer Research.

The CRTC is designed to connect cancer-focused trainees across UCSF’s campuses, programs, and departments — making it easier to access career development, networking, and leadership opportunities. The goal is to identify and connect trainees interested in cancer research, foster meaningful peer interaction, and strengthen engagement with the HDFCCC Office of Education and Training.

The CRTC Symposium is a biannual event for trainees (students, post-baccs, postdocs, fellows) who are interested in cancer research. It provides opportunities to present your research (talks, poster presentations) and to network with others in the cancer research community. Each year, one will be held on the Mission Bay Campus and one on the Parnassus Campus.

Our Fall Symposium is on Dec. 8, 2026 from 5pm - 7pm at Parnassus. You must be part of the CRTC to apply for a talk or poster presentation.

Students, trainees and post-baccs who are interested in cancer research can both attend and apply to give a lightning talk or poster presentation. Membership in the CRTC is required to apply for a talk or poster presentation.
