ARTIST STATEMENT:
“A Dream” is a solo exhibition that reflects Los Angeles through the vision of artist Adrian Della Rossa, using street art culture to touch on memory and imagination. Adrian Della Rossa’s work captures the chaotic energies that surround the city of Los Angeles using paint, self cooked inks, paint markers, and spray paint. Della Rossa uses dreams as a welcoming for the unpredictability of life and how art and creativity can fuel an understanding of how to navigate through these realities. These works connect to Della Rossa’s childhood of growing up in Los Angeles, as well as honoring the memories of departed loved ones through motifs of rebirth and mortality. A sharpie gifted from his father that started this path of Della Rossa, led the artist to evolve into creating works that merge these mediums from street art culture and fine art into one collective.
