This week’s speaker will be Kathy Lund, Director of Career and Professional Development at the Pancratz Career Development Center (Nistler College of Business & Public Administration)!

From Kathy: "There is literally no one like you. Your talents, values, and experiences make you uniquely qualified to make a difference and lead your own way. I am passionate about helping individuals and teams discover their strengths, understand the impact they want to make, and develop their authentic leadership styles. Throughout my 18 years of experience in higher education, I have worked with students, alumni, and employers, gaining valuable insights into the evolving needs, strengths, and workplace expectations of multiple generations. This experience has enabled me to design a series of college courses focused on career development, as well as programs, resources, and workshops that help individuals build self awareness and confidence as they explore and navigate their careers.

Driven by a commitment to equitable access and student success, I implemented a professional clothes closet to provide access to free professional clothing items donated from generous alumni and employers. This initiative helps ensure that students have the resources they need to confidently present themselves in professional settings.

I am also passionate about connecting alumni and students to support student career development. Through the Pancratz Mentor Program, we match current students with experienced alumni to help them achieve their professional goals and reach their potential as emerging leaders. These outstanding alumni provide support, guidance, and real-world perspectives, all of which make indelible impacts on their mentees.
