Georgia State University’s Alonzo A. Crim Center for Urban Educational Excellence will host its 2026 Sources of Urban Educational Excellence Conference on Nov. 6-7, 2026, in Georgia State’s College of Law (85 Park Place NE, Atlanta).

The first day of the conference will feature several presentations, including a keynote from Dr. Obari Cartman, author, educator and CEO of MANifest Wellness, LLC, and a book talk from CEHD Assistant Professor Casey Wong about his new book entitled "Why Culturally Sustaining Pedagogies Matter for Our Collective Futures."

For the second day, the Crim Center is partnering with the college's Department of Educational Policy Studies (EPS) to co-host the Critical Educational Policy Studies Conference, which will feature EPS doctoral students sharing policy briefs on important educational policies for discussion with faculty, community partners and stakeholders.
