What happens when an entire community reads, reflects, creates, and connects around one book?

We start conversations, make connections, and experience shared meaning-making. One book can lead to many perspectives, and those perspectives can help us better understand ourselves and one another.

Read. Reflect. Connect. @ HPU Libraries is a new annual reading experience that brings HPU students, faculty, and staff together to explore ideas that matter.

For 2027, we’re reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, and you’re invited to join us!

Your book is provided, and participation is designed to fit into your schedule. Read or listen at your own pace and come ready to share the ideas and perspectives that stood out to you.

We will move beyond the pages through conversation, creative expression, and film, centered on happiness, relationships, purpose, belonging, and personal growth.

HPU Libraries will also partner with Wellness to offer Woliba events inspired by themes from the book, creating even more opportunities to reflect, connect, and participate.
