ADMISSION: Admission is free and open to USC students only. Reservations required. RSVP beginning Tuesday, September 1, at 10 a.m. RSVP DESCRIPTION: What does daily practice look like for a durational performance artist? What’s the difference between everyday untimely behaviors and durational performance art? In this interactive workshop, durational performance artist Raegan Truax will foster and explore new ways of being untimely. What to Expect in the Workshop: No prior experience is required. Through a series of exercises drawn from Truax’s artistic practice, students will develop heightened sensory awareness, explore non-linear ways of engaging creatively and critically, develop clarity and intentionality within group processes, build reflective skills, and support interdisciplinary thinking—bridging performance, somatics, visual art, conceptual inquiry, and embodied practice. This Is One Part of a Series! This workshop is part of a month-long residency with durational performance artist Raegan Truax at ONE Archives that explores themes of power, connection, exhaustion, and embodiment. The residency will also include archival research, a durational performance, a talkback, and an exhibition at ONE Archives.
