What happens when Tribal and state governmental authority overlaps?

Join the UND Native American Law Students Association for a conversation examining Tribal-State relations, jurisdiction, intergovernmental cooperation, conflict and the practical realities of governance in Indian Country.

The program will bring together leaders from the Tribal judiciary, government and legal practice to discuss how Tribal Nations and states navigate overlapping authority, resolve jurisdictional challenges, develop cooperative relationships and shape government-to-government relations.

Confirmed Speaker: Chief Judge Stacie FourStar, Fort Peck Tribal Court and UND School of Law ’13.

Additional speakers will be announced.

This event is open to UND students, faculty, staff, members of the legal community and the public.
