The Purdue Substance Use Mitigation (SUM) Team is hosting a series of Lunch and Learns to raise awareness about substance abuse and mental health-related issues. Faculty, residence hall faculty fellows, academic advisors, and other interested staff are invited. Attendees learn about our campus environment and ways to incorporate the information into their teaching and interactions with students. Lunch and Learns are sponsored by the Purdue Substance Use Mitigation Team, whose mission is “to work together to create a safe and healthy environment for students by addressing the harmful effects of alcohol and substance misuse through education, awareness, and empowering all Boilermakers to make responsible substance use choices.” Funding for this project is through the Drug-Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County.
Supporting Students in Indianapolis We continue to build out resources for students at Purdue Indianapolis. This includes supporting those students struggling with substance use. Join us on the Purdue Indianapolis campus as we review the resources and support options available specifically to students in Indianapolis, including how and where faculty and staff can connect students with help.
