The Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement presents:
Seeking Religious Literacy
Religious Literacy is an essential good in the world today. In this course participants will learn how religion involves a human journey for meaning and includes our moral response to the world around us. Through lectures, dialogue, and supplemental resources, we engage, learn and grow, so that we can lead with in our own contexts and spiritual paths.
In five sessions, participants will explore material curated by a community of scholars to promote deeper understanding of pluralism and religion's role in the world today.
Our in-person, Winter Cohort, moves through the materials together and practices the tools necessary for overcoming polarization, forging new bonds, and claiming new insights together. Registration includes both the in person gatherings and full access to the online course materials.
The courses is facilitated by CEIE Founding Director and Spehar-Halligan Professor, Rev. Dr. Michael Reid Trice, and CEIE Assistant Director, Rev. Dr. Kara Markell. In partnership with the Greater Kirkland Ecumenical Parish, and hosted by Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland, WA.
