Is Communication-Intensive (C-I) Teaching the right fit for your class? Sign up for a C-I Teaching Overview Session to find out!
We know (and research shows) how important communication skills are for students, both in the classroom and in their post-graduation lives. To best prepare students, LSU is focusing on further strengthening teaching and learning of undergraduate communication skills through the Geaux Communicate initiative. Within this, LSU’s stated goal is to enable all undergraduate students the ability to access at least 1 Communication-Intensive (C-I) course via their degree pathway.
Here's where you come in. While C-I pedagogy at LSU is a demonstrated high-impact teaching practice, it is not the best approach for every undergraduate course and that’s okay. But if you’ve ever been curious if C-I is a good fit for you or if you want to learn more about the resources available to your students and how you can leverage them (whether you teach a certified C-I course or not), RSVP for a C-I Teaching Overview to learn more!
Who can participate? Anyone teaching an LSU undergraduate course who is not already teaching Communication-Intensive (C-I) courses. Part-time, full-time, tenure and non-tenure track teachers are all welcome, including graduate students serving as instructors of record (IORs).
