One Maryland One Book Event - No Sense in Wishing

Join us as we celebrate the One Maryland One Book 2026 selection, "No Sense in Wishing: Essays on Black Music, Belonging, and Baltimore" by Lawrence Burne. Through stories and reflections on Black music, community, and Baltimore, Burne explores the powerful role music plays in our lives. Connecting generations, creating memories, telling stories, and expressing culture and identity. We’ll have free copies of the book, music from the author’s Spotify playlist featuring songs mentioned throughout the book, opportunities to contribute to a shared community playlist, snacks, crafts, and more!
