A little about OTD Candidate Blake Brown:

Blake Brown is a U.S. Navy veteran and Occupational Therapy doctoral student at Colorado State University (CSU). He is currently completing his capstone project in connection with the Loveland VA, focusing on helping veterans transition smoothly from military service back into civilian life.

His work centers on helping veterans understand their benefits, identify community resources, and connect with individuals who can assist them. To foster social connection, Blake creates low-pressure social groups where veterans, along with their friends and family, can gather to converse, support one another, and access local resources in a welcoming space.

Mission & Project Scope

Blake’s goal is to ensure veterans receive accurate, up-to-date information and are connected directly with the people who can best support their needs. While his capstone project is conducted in association with the Loveland VA, it is an independent initiative that is neither sponsored nor funded by the organization.
