AMR Seminar: Tu-Anh Huynh, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Cornell Center for Antimicrobial Resistance Research & Education Fall Seminar Series 2026 Title: A balancing act - c-di-AMP as a global regulator of cell wall integrity and metabolism in Listeria monocytogenes Speaker Bio: Dr. Huynh earned a BS degree in Food Science at the University of New South Wales (Australia), where she discovered love for microbiology research through studies of microbial ecology of cocoa bean fermentation. Huynh got a PhD degree at the University of California - Davis, where she worked with Dr. Valley Stewart on the mechanism of phosphatase reaction in bacterial two component systems in E. coli. Dr. Huynh performed postdoctoral work with Dr. Josh Woodward at the University of Washington in the early years of c-di-AMP signaling, where she learned about nucleotide signaling and Listeria. Dr. Huynh's research lab at the University of Wisconsin Madison investigates bacterial nucleotide signaling, as well as interactions between Listeria with environmental microbiota.
