M.F.A. Exhibition: Progress Report
Downloads an .ics file · All day · Google Calendar
Progress Report brings together work by ten artists from Cornell AAP’s M.F.A. in Creative Visual Arts program, offering a snapshot of practices in motion rather than a statement of arrival. Across the exhibition, materials, images, and ideas move through processes of transformation, accumulation, repetition, and exchange. Labor becomes abstracted into time and futurity; color shapes perception; making becomes entangled with identity and ways of being. Messy chains of cause and effect coexist with systems of construction, alchemy, nostalgia, and dreams, while questions of culture, mortality, and our relationship to other forms of life move through the work.
Rather than proposing a single shared position, Progress Report makes visible ten distinct practices at a particular moment in their development—works speaking to one another across differences, experiments still unfolding, and ideas whose destinations are not yet entirely known.
